Art Above Exhibiting Gallery: Meyer Fine Art

Eighteen o Five is pleased to announce that Meyer Fine Art will be exhibiting the works of artist, Clay Walker and handmade jewelry by Elicia Meyer.

Perry L. Meyer has been a private art dealer for over 30 years, specializing in original graphics, limited edition prints, and other works on paper from the 18th century to contemporary works. With a keen eye and knowledge that he has acquired through his life-long love and passion for graphics and works on paper, Meyer opened a public gallery space, Meyer Fine Art, Inc., in June 2006, located in the booming Art and Design district in Little Italy in the historical Studio Arts Building on Kettner Blvd.

Meyer offers his expert consultation services to assist novice and seasoned collectors who have an interest in original graphics. His reputation is based on integrity, professionalism, and extensive knowledge to provide his clients with the assurance and confidence needed to build a world-class art collection. The gallery provides full art consulting services for purchasing and selling artwork, including framing, shipping and restoration.

Meyer Fine Art, Inc. presents its 6th exhibition for artist Clay Walker (1924 – 2008). Clay Walker: “Beyond Traditional Boundaries” consists of artwork from the late 1940s to pieces from his contemporary years. For info on exhibitions please visit the Meyer Fine Art website.

Walker was a prolific mid-century abstract expressionist who spent many of his later years in north San Diego county.  He was a friend of Pablo Picasso and an active member of the post-World War II art movement with Andy Warhol, Robert Rauchenberg, June Wayne, Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock.

 

Art Above San Diego will occur March 15, from 2-8pm on the rooftop of the Porto Vista Hotel.

The Porto Vista Hotel is located on 1835 Columbia Street in Little Italy .
