Claudia Cano is an interdisciplinary artist with an interest in performance, photography, and video. Her studies include developing projects involving interactions and influences between the Mexican and American cultures, the relationship amongst the body and physical labor, and its boundaries. Her recent works include reflections on the invisibility and inequality of women in our society.

Originally from Mexico, Cano has lived in San Diego, where she received her MFA at SDSU, since 2002. She has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Technological Institute of Monterrey.
