Samantha Louise Marett

While in residence at 1805 Gallery in January 2018. The paintings examine her most vulnerable thoughts and experiences accompanied with captions that reveal a fragile and personal memory. Through bold brushstrokes and vivid multi-textured pigments, Marett revisits memories of romantic relationships, financial struggles and insecurities in order to reclaim those moments as opportunities for personal growth and self love.  Marett aims to reframe vulnerability as a strength rather than a weakness.
