MONTY MONTGOMERY
The San Diego-based artist Monty Montgomery produces brightly colored geometric abstractions that respond to specific sites. He transforms spaces intuitively using color theory, mathematics, and abstraction.
Geo Series
1805 Gallery is pleased to offer forty-four painted panels by Monty Montgomery. They were originally installed at the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park as part of Bloom Bash: Art Alive 2019. In the history of the San Diego Museum of Art, the Geo Series commission was the largest solo work to date. A number of panels are on display at the Porto Vista Hotel in San Diego, California.
